What should your business automate first?
Start with a repeatable process and a clear way to review the result.
Look for repetition
List the tasks your team repeats: copying data, classifying documents, sending reminders or preparing reports. Note how often they happen, who performs them and which systems they touch.
Make the rules visible
Describe the input, the expected output and the decisions in between. If the team cannot agree on the rule, resolve that before automating it. Technology cannot decide a business policy that has not been defined.
Plan the exception
Decide what happens when a document is incomplete, a record does not match or a platform does not respond. Define a review queue, a responsible person and a record of the action taken. An incomplete case should be visible to the team.
Choose the simplest approach that fits
Some tasks need an integration and clear rules. Others benefit from AI to interpret text or classify information. Use human review where a mistaken decision could create a material problem.
Run a controlled pilot
Start with a limited group of records. Compare the output with a reviewed reference, record errors and measure the time required. Expand only after the process and the exception handling work as expected.
